AV422  U.S.A.F. Fighter Pilot Helmet Visor with Cover

This visor and protective cover are from the estate of Colonel Robert Chaleff.  Col. Chaleff was an A-10 "Thunderbolt" pilot.  On the cover is a subdued 45th Tactical Fighter Squadron patch and embroidered is his call sign "Chaff 11."  The green visor and the cover are in excellent condition.  $100

This kneeboard style Dead Reckoning computer was made by the Stanley Manufacturing Co. Limited of Toronto, Canada.  It is 5 1/2 by 6 1/4 inches in size and in very good condition.  The leg straps are in excellent condition.  I believe it is World War I period but I could be mistaken.  $165

AV382  Set of Six Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Color Prints

This set of six aircraft prints were distributed by the Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Company during World War II.  Each print is 14 1/2 by 17 inches in size.  The aircraft included in the set are the Leberator, Liberator Express C-87 transport, Catalina PBY PB2Y-3R transport, Valiant Basic Trainer and Stinson Sentinel L-5 "Flying Jeep."  Excellent condition.  $50

AV380  Vietnam Era Infrared Light Assembly Marker Set

This set is dated 1968 and is in new, unused condition.  It consists of five each battery holding rods, rod extensions and rod tips.  When all three rod parts are used together the overall length is 33 1/2 inches.  Also included is the carrying bag, six LED infrared lights (one is a spare) and an instruction sheet. The IR lights use standard nine volt batteries.  Land your helicopter (or drone) safely at night!  $135

This publication of the Long Beach Division of the Douglas Aircraft Company is dated January/February 1957, is 8 1/2 by 11 inches in size, 36 pages, softbound and in good condition.  It is described as:  "...a series of articles introducing new spesical tools and existing tools or reflecting revisions to special tools and support equipment now in use for the B/RB-66 aircraft."  $35

POL103  1968 Democratic National Convention Pocket Planner & Eastern Airlines Chicago Timetable

This planner is 3 3/4 by 7 inches in size, constructed of black vinyl and in very good condition.  The logo and lettering on the front and back are embossed in gold.  The planner is 26 pages and contains information about the convention such as:  airline telephone numbers, emergency phone numbers, headquarters of delegations, Eastern Airlines services, Chicago transportation services, monthly calendars for August 1968 through January 1969, a tally sheet, several pages for notes and state-by-state vote results in 1964.  The Eastern Airlines Chicago timetable folds out to 7 by 7 3/4 inches in size and is 12 pages of information about the airline.  This is an interesting item from the infamous 1968 Chicago Democratic convention and would be of interest to the political or aviation collector.  $100

This log book is the flight log of William James Logan of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  In addition to the primary and advanced flight training there are 36 combat missions listed in the European Theater of Operations in B-24 heavy bombers.  The missisions include 7 to Germany, 2 to France, 5 to Italy, 6 to Hungary, 3 to Yugoslavia, 1 to Greece, 10 to Austria, 1 to Czechoslovakia and one "Early Return."  Excellent condition.  $250

Navy F-4H Phantom from Los Angeles to New York on 24 May 1961.  "LANA" stood for L (the Roman numeral for 50) and "ANA" for Anniversary of Naval Aviation.  $235

This disk contains a four cent U.S. Postage stamp commemorating the successful launch of the Project Mercury launch on 20 February, 1962.  The rear of the stamp reads: "Issued on Successful Completion of 3 World Orbits by LT. COL. JOHN H. GLENN, JR."  The disk is 3/4 by 3 inches in diameter.  It is in very good condition.  It would be a nice addition to a stamp collection or Space Exploration collection.   $125

AV259  1938 THOMPSON TROPHY RACE CALENDAR

This offering consists of a 1938 calendar, a Martin Bomber photo and the original mailing tube for the two items.  The calendar is an advertising promotional item from the Thompson Products Company of Cleveland, Ohio.  The company sponsored the Thompson Trophy Race starting in 1930.  The story of the races, from 1930 through 1937, is printed under the calendar pages.  It is 16 by 31 inches in size.  The bomber photo is 10 1/2 by 19 inches  in size and has information on the back on how to order a free set of 17 aeroplane pictures.  The mailing tube is 2 by 18 inches in size.  It was mailed from Cleveland to "Miss Vera C. Waters, Milton Junior High, Alton, Ill."  It was mailed on January 20, 1938 and the postage cost was six cents!  The calendar is in new, unused condition but two of the three staples holding the calendar pages to the calendar body are loose.  All 13 calendar pages, December 1937 to December 1938 are present.  The photo and the mailing tube are in very good condition.  This calendar would look beautiful framed and displayed in an aviation collection.  $1,250

This group consists of five items are dated from 1932 to 1937.  All are named to Rudolf Nolle who was born September 28, 1891 in Erfurt.  Acording to the documents he made six flights in 1932 and 1933 totaling 33 minutes and 22 seconds.  On June 3, 1937 he made a flight lasting 6 hours and 22 minutes.  The documents are in good condition.  $500

This original Ozark Air Lines food service carrier was made by the Kitterman Company of Kansas City, Missouri, has a manufacture date of 2-20-85 and is 10 by 17 3/4 by 19 inches in size.  Included are five 9 1/2 by 15 1/2 inch service trays.  The carrier and all of the trays are marked with "OZARK" and in very good condition.  Four of the trays were manufactured by Air Plastics of Olathe, Kansas.  One tray is by an unknown manufacturer but has the three swallows on the bottom.  It would be a great place to store and display your Ozark memorabilia.  $325

These photos and paper items are from the estate of S/Sgt. George A. Kelsch, 398th Bomb Squadron, 504th Bomb Group.  There are 14 nose art photos including three of the Enola Gay (one very poor), GOOD DEAL (2 photos),  LUCKY LADY (2 photos),  THE LIFE OF RILEY,  1st SEPARATE ENGINEER BN USMC,  THE TULSA BARB and OMAHA TWO MORE TIMES.  The other photos have artwork but no name or the name is unreadable.  One of the photos is in color and depicts a diving woman and an unreadable word before "BELLE."  There are four photos of radar screens, five vehicle photos, fourteen photos of aircraft accidents and damage and 77 photos of camp scenes and activities.  Documents included are a 9 by 11 inch comic depiction of the Thirteenth Replacement Depot, APO 969 and the following documents named to S/Sgt Kilsch:  Separation Qualification Record,  thank you letter from Harry Truman,  Enlisted Record and Report of Separation Honorable Discharge, Honorable Discharge certificate (trimmed),  Soldier's Pay Record,  two Immunization Registers,  Application For National Service Life Insurance and Authorization To Report.  There are also several photos of his unit.  The largest one has been folded in two.  There is a portrait of Kelsch.  A nice nose art photo group with research possibilities.  $335
